I’d like to share a few photos of my favourite areas around Saint John taken during my visits at Christmas as well as in May.
- You can see a mix of industry and old buildings from many areas in the South End. Some buildings are better maintained than others.
- The Saint John waterfront is a charming mix of old and new. For the first time in decades, construction cranes are part of the skyline for the construction of the new Irving headquarters.
- It’s hard to believe that the Fisher Lakes in Rockwood Park are actually man made!

Nice Pictures Paul, I hope the city starts turning around, it’s been slowly dying over the last 15 years, its a shame. Time will tell.
That first picture looking down the street with the factory in the background is amazing! I love it so much. I know some people will think that street isn’t exactly attractive, but to me it’s beautiful.
Hi Paul. I just came across this page by accident. I also was born in Saint John and was wondering if your South End street photo was Britain St. As a young one I grew up here. Been living in Ontario since 1951. Your photos are awesome.
