Minutes before sunset one day, I decided to check out Sandy Beach Park which isn’t too far from my house.
Most of the park is quite barren and seemingly uninspiring for the most part at this time of year. But there are always interesting things to focus on like these river rocks.
Ice and snow are still around, but they are melting away.
Mesh wire protects the trees from beavers cutting them down.
This foot bridge crossing the river is a critical link between my home and downtown when I am biking during the warmer months. It wobbles a bit as you walk on it.
Dozens of support cables like this secure the bridge in place.
Surprisingly, I got through this entire post without showing any actual sand form which the park takes its name. Trust me, there’s plenty, but it’s not very photogenic this time of year. Maybe in a few months?
