One of the tourist attractions in Calgary is Heritage Park. Over the past 2 summers, I took several photos that I’d like to share. Most of the park is now closed for the winter.

- The character of the old buildings in Calgary (and Western Canada) has been preserved here. Many of them are not original and have been reconstructed to match the old look.

- Metal workers are what many of us think of when imagining the old days in the West.

- It’s easy to complain about the state of health care now, but I can only imagine being much less comfortable for many people in the past.

- An old fire hall from nearby Cochrane could only hold one small fire truck.

- It is interesting that a city as new as Calgary has turned its small amount of heritage and history into a park that attracts families and tourists alike.

- Live entertainment was happening at the park as part of the Calgary Stampede.

- I guess a child got tired of man’s best friend.

- A view of quintessential Alberta.

- It was fun to watch the animals interact with each other.
