The Bow Valley Ranche is a historic site within Fish Creek Provincial Park that features many walking trails, and a restaurant inside the historic Ranche building. Near the ranch is a Bow River boat launch area which is also nice to visit. In this post, I’d like to share a few of my favourite photos from this area that I’ve taken over the past couple of summers.

- Dandelions are easy to find everywhere, but it’s great to appreciate the detail of the seed head up close.

- The Ranche area is one of Calgary’s best inner-city areas for wide open fields that you can freely explore.

- The trails are great for walking or biking, and look especially nice on this partially cloudy day.

- Memorial benches line the pathway near the restaurant. The design of the text is quite elaborate.

- The historic Ranche House has been restored, and operates as a restaurant now.
